Architect @ Work: A premier event that brings together architects and building professionals each year to discuss and discover the latest innovations in materials, products, and processes. Along with providing visitors with an elegant event space for taking in a host of exhibitions. Featuring live talks presented by some of the most compelling architects of our times.

Ontario Association of Architects (OAA): The OAA’s Virtual Conference Week is May 17 to 21! The all-inclusive access brings together ConEd sessions and special events under the “Cultivate Inclusivity” theme. Some of the special events include:
The Mentorship Panel – In this one-hour session, listen to a panel of two sets of Mentors and Mentees as they discuss their common challenges, lessons learned, and how to evolve the mentorship relationship beyond just a regulatory requirement.
Plenary/Panel The Value of Zero: Investing in Carbon-free Design – As part of a one-hour discussion, each speaker will discuss their work and share ideas and insights as they relate to the built environment. Whether as deep energy retrofits or zero-carbon new construction, this panel will foreground that sustainable architecture is not something to do “in the future,” but something architects are already doing with great success and outcomes.
Keynote Event with Jesse Wente – Broadcaster, advocate, and pop culture philosopher Jesse Wente is to kick off the conference with a captivating lecture on the theme of “Cultivate Inclusivity.” Wente promises to inspire while offering insights to foster understanding. Issues of diversity and inclusion are front and center in today’s culture.
